Considering that I briefly mentioned Popup in my last post, I thought I’d tell you a wee bit more about it due to it’s extreme level of awesomeness.
Popup is based in Ghuznee St, Wellington. When they first opened they initially sold limited edition prints, but after noticing a gap in the New Zealand market for vinyl collectables, they soon started importing products from Kidrobot and other similar brands, and I must say - I am super glad that they did this. Popup is one of my most favourite places in the whole of the country and always have new and interesting things to look at and make your inner monologue say ‘oh man I totally want that!’.
The first time I went to Popup was for a Dunny release party, I met the owners (who are very super nice fyi) and also many other people who also had a similar interest in designer collectables, limited edition prints and all things truly awesome. So, if you are ever in Wellington and feel like doing something great, you should totally strut down to Ghuznee St and have a good look in Popup. If you aren’t likely to be in Wellington any time soon, their website and online store are equally as fantastic.
